The best way to start using ForestHQ is to create a Forest and schedule some forest Activities.
To create a forest you can use the options described in the section above. Then, forest activities can be created within a forest.
The forest Activities are defined as an area inside of the Forest where an event has taken or will take place (harvesting, inventory, planting, etc).
A Forest can contain several activities. The activity contains both spatial and tabular data, including:
Activity area (form the Field boundaries)
Productivity zones map
Inventory data
Harvesting data (if using harvester)
Files
Tasks and licenses associated with the activity
Reports
The activities can be created before the activity takes place for planning purposes. The user can monitor the progress of the activity as the data is added to the ForestHQ system.
Within the activity, the user can map temporary changes in the Productivity zones layers. This layer aims to stratify the forest stand in homogenous areas where the activity will take place. The Productivity zone only belongs to the Activity and is not stored at the forest level.
