In ForestHQ, forest operations have some handy mapping tools that can be used to edit:

Editing of operations can be done using Forest HQ GIS editing tools. There are 4 main levels that can be edited: 1 The "Blocks" this is the forests boundaries composition. 2 "Productive Area" this can be used to calculated the area covered by productive forestry. 3 "Strata" this separates the the forest area based on quality species and other qualities.
To edit block structures you must select the operation in which you would like to edit.
On the left hand side of the operation screen you will find a list of layers that can be edited, To view layers on map you must click on the button (Block) this will highlight when selected.
To edit shapes click on the pencil button inline with the feature you would like to edit.
Tables can be viewed and edited by clicking on the table button in line with the layer you would like, to edit.
This shows a list of the tools that can be used to edit the block level
Drawing Tool This tool is used to will draw new polygons
Delete block tool selected blocks can be deleted using this tool
Merging block tool this tool will merge two or more blocks as one
Snapping tool this snaps new polygons to existing shapes
Table edit this button will open attribute table where details can be edited.
This editing block has the following tools
Using this tool, the user will be able to draw polygons and shapes in the forest areas. You should draw the shape by clicking as you move around the desired area and then to finish drawing the shape you should double click again. (If the "ESC" key is pressed, editing the polygon will end at all times).
When you finish drawing the area a list of the following options appear,
Create new block will split the old block and add any extra area to create a new block,
Cut Block will delete area highlighted
split block will split area from original block to create a new block
Extend block will area.
To cancel Drawing use the discard drawing button
To Merge blocks click on the "start Selecting" button on pop up box
Select Blocks to merge by clicking in each block area
Click Merge shapes to merge the blocks
** The Blocks will inherit the information and name from first block selected.
The block names, Plant year, and additional information can be edited in the table.
Apart for the Forest, Compartments and blocks explained before the the system has Productive area, Trees , Strata and Plots tools for a better Inventory planning in the Operational level of the Forest.
All of this Forest View Levels are going to be explained in the INVENTORY OPERATION section, because there are tools for the inventory planification and analysis.
